The seeds of the annual flowering plant known as “Nigella sativa” are known as kalonji. Since the beginning of time, these unassuming but extraordinarily potent seeds have been thought of as a cure or treatment for an extremely wide variety of illnesses and problems affecting human health. It was first cultivated in ancient Egypt some 3,300 years ago, during the reign of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, where the first records of the plant’s use and cultivation can be found. It may seem like onion seeds, but it is not related to onions in any way. Both of these plants are from distinct orders and families according to their binomial classification. In point of fact, some people adulterate kalonji using onion seeds in addition to a variety of other seeds that are similarly shaped and coloured.

Ingredients:

Comferol (flavonoid) as diglucoside and digalactoside

The isoquinoline alkaloids nigellicimine and its N-oxide nigellidine and nigellicine, in addition to nigellidine-4-sulfite nigellamines A1-A5 (A1 at 0.0096 percent, A2 at 0.0078 percent), B1-2 (0.0012 percent and 0.0036 percent, respectively), and C (dolabellane type diterpenoids)

Alpha-hederin, beta-sitosterol, and stigmasterol, in addition to a few additional sterols, are all present.

Vitamin B1 thiamin, at a concentration of 831 milligrammes per 100 grammes of dry weight

Riboflavin, often known as Vitamin B2, at 63 milligrammes per 100 grammes of dry weight

Pyridoxine, often known as vitamin B6, at a dosage of 789 milligrammes per 100 grammes of dry weight

Niacin at 6,311mg/100g dry weight

Folic acid at 42mg/100g dry weight

Directions:

Take it with water in a teaspoon.
